I feel I should introduce myself. My name is Tanner Stephen Durrant; I am a computer science student and a hobbyist game designer. This website is an English project in which I get to write about whatever I want, so I coded a website about game design.

This website was made to serve multiple goals: I wanted to give the reader something interesting to read; I wanted to voice my opinions; I wanted to show some games I made, good and bad; and I wanted to become a nuanced writer. Maybe you can spot, throughout the website, what goal I am prioritizing the most.

Because a goal of this website was to become a better writer, you’ll find a variety of different writing styles throughout the website. Notice the tone difference between The Undoing of Solitaire and The Adventure of Games; notice how I talk about the Tarot card format between Tarot Tennessee for Two and Tarot Scum. Though some parts are different in crucial ways, I still feel all the pages are fairly solid. Through the exploration of methods and voice, I feel I have become a much better writer.
